Mixed Media Class

Hi Crafty Friends,

Its been a while since my last post however, I have been busy.  I have been working on many tutorials and lots of Tanz Tips for everyone.  Hopefully, my stuff ups will be of help to others. haha.
Mondays Quickie Card Class is now up and running again. Next week I have a couple of gorgeous cards for us to make. Remember, Sale A Bration is now in full swing. That means that for every $90 you spend you instantly qualify for a completely free item from the Sale A Bration catalogue. There are so many amazing products its hard to pick just one. If you would like any help with your order, please contact me and I would be happy to help any way I can.

I have included a sneak peek of next week's class to whet your appetite.

I have been busy making albums again.....This was the first time I have combined hardware with my albums and I'm loving the look of it.  Here are a few pics of it. Now I just need to fill it with photos.

The Next technique class we will be having is going to be a mixed media class.  We will each be creating a mixed media artwork on the cover of a journal/album.  Places are limited so please reserve your spot as soon as possible to ensure you are a part of this awesome day.  Pictured is the first mixed media album I made and recently I created a special box to house it.  The class for the box will be at a later date.

Stay tuned Crafty Friends, major things are happening here......The brain's a ticking......

 Until next time,
Stay Crafty.....

Storybook Card/album Class

Hi Crafty Friends,
How is everyone going today?  I'ts a heatwave here in Coffs Harbour so I hope if the heat is creeping up at your place you're finding a way to keep cool. For me, it's in my craft cave with the air conditioner going and crafting my little heart out. That's my happy place.
I wanted to show you what we will be making this Saturday. I have shared with you before my storybook card and heres the one we will be making together.  There are still a couple of places left if you are interested in coming along.

The cost of the class is $25. Cardstock and DSP is supplied. Bring your own tools if possible.

I hope to see you soon,
Till next time.....Stay crafty,
XO Tan

Yo Yo Spinner Tutorial

Hi crafty friends,
Yesterday I shared with you some of the projects that I made for the ESAD Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration blog hop. I am currently 'hopping' around and admiring everyone's creations. All I can say is.....WOW!
One of the cards I made was a Yo Yo Spinner card. I thought it might be a good idea to do a video tutorial. So here it is. Tomorrow I will list all supplies I used and measurements as well. I hope you like it.

Till next time,
Stay crafty,

ESAD 2017 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends,
Welcome to my blog! You may have come from Megan Lenske or you may be starting the hop here. I hope you are enjoying all the amazing projects so far.
Today I have created a few projects for you featuring items from the new Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-Bration catalogue.  I love this time of year. Everything is new again. New year, and of course, new stamps!

The first project is a Twist & Pop card using the Yummy in My Tummy stamp set.  This one is similar to the Bear Hugs card that I recently did a tutorial on.  I love interactive elements in my cards. Maybe that's the kid in me. I've used Marquee Messages, Avant Garden, and Yummy in my Tummy stamp sets.  Avant Garden is available for free during Sale-A-Bration.

The card base is Wild Wasabi with accents of So Saffron Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and Silver foil Cardstock. My little monster is Crumb Cake and watercolored with the new Watercolour Pencils. I absolutely love how they blend seamlessly on virtually any kind of paper.  To finish off the card I've used the new metallic ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and the Petal Burst TIEF.

Keeping with the interactive theme and still using Yummy in my Tummy, I have created a Yo Yo Card.  I haven't made one of these for quite some time so armed with my super cute little monster I set out to give this a go.  The feature on her belly is from the Tie Died stamp set. The backing paper is from the Carried Away DSP pack as a Sale-A-Bration item. I made 2 versions of this card because my super awesome daughter suggested it would be the perfect card for my Niece. She loves dinosaurs and non girl colours.

The final project is with the Oh So Succulent Stamp set and co-ordinating framelits. I've always loved shadow box frames and decided to make a rectangular one.  Initially I had plans of creating a succulent garden, then I decided I liked how it was evolving and turned it into a frame/display.  I've popped a stand on the back that can be folded flat if I wanted to send to somebody.  I have created stamped accents on each of the petals/leaves of the succulent plants using the white craft ink.  It looks different on each cardstock colour base and really makes each flower look more realistic.  The DSP is from the Succulent Garden DSP pack.

I hope you have enjoyed hopping with me. Please continue on to Maree McIntosh and see what she has created for you today. Until next time,
Stay Crafty,
XO Tan

Twist & Pop Card

Hi crafty friends,

Today I made a Twist & Pop card with a difference.  Taking inspiration from the cards that I made at christmas with the Cookie Cutter Christmas bundle, I set out to adapt this using the Bear Hugs set from the Annual catalogue.

Ingredients:
Card base - Tempting Turquoise 11 3/4" X 4 1/8" (scored on long side at 5 7/8")

Card front - Calypso Coral 5 1/2" X 3 7/8" Embossed with Petal Burst TIEF & another piece of Calypso Coral for the Scalloped mat on the sentiment and the writing panel.
Sahara Sand 1" X 3 7/8" Die cut with scallop edge from Cutie Pie Framelits
                    Burlap Ribbon approx 6"
Metallic Ribbon Combo - Silver approx 12" inc Bow

Card Inside - Sahara Sand 3 7/8" X 5 5/8" (Stamped with Hardwood in Soft Suede) & another piece of Sahara Sand for the sentiment and writing panel.

Mechanism - Very Vanilla 3" X 9 1/4" (scor 3" side at 3/4", 1 1/2", 2 1/4") Turn to 9 1/4" side (scor at 3 1/4", 4", 4 3/4", 7 1/4", 8").
Then use your stylus & ruler to scor an 'X' between the 4 squares as shown in the video.

Bear - Soft Suede - approx 4" X 5" (stamped in Early Espresso)

Old Olive cardstock for grass and Shimmery White for honey pots and flowers. I stamped these with Archival Black ink.

I hope this helps and you are able to make your own hugging bear. I absolutely love how this guy turned out.

Till next time,
Stay crafty XO Tan
